Replacement Car from Arnold Clark?
Hey. Looking for some advice on a car that was purchased from Arnold Clark (I know, I have now learned my lesson...) on 31/03/18. Below is an outline of the story. My ideal resolution would be a replacement car but not sure if I have a leg to stand on.
(This is in reference to a 2015 Citroen Cactus C4 with 22000 miles on the clock, purchased on PCP finance).
8/5/18 - Car went back to AC with reports of high pitched noise coming from brakes, air con not working, and constant rattling coming from driver and passenger door panel.
10/5/18 - Car returned. Report stated that there was no wear and tear on brakes but they have cleaned them, new evaporator has been ordered for air con and suspension was greased for creaking noise (even though I told them it was coming from the door...)
14/5/18 - Took the car to halfords for a second opinion on the brakes who said both discs and pads needed replaced urgently.
15/5/18 - Took it back to AC as I had been lied to. They replaced discs and pads there and then and gave me a full tank of petrol as compensation.
22/5/18 - Car went back in to AC to have the air con evaporator replaced and the door panels looked at. Courtesy car provided.
31/5/18 - As of today I have been told the evaporator was replaced and that didn't fix the air con. The compressor was then replaced which fixed the air con until someone took it for a test drive and it started blowing hot air. Have so far been unable to fix the door panels. Car is still at Arnold Clark.
As far as I am aware I have a 60 day used car warranty which will be up today. Is this why they are dragging their feet? The above only scratches the surface - this has been accompnaied by poor communication, vague information and a service manager who has been patronising along the way. I dont actually believe anything they tell me given that they lied about the condition of my brakes.
If I raised a formal complaint and asked for a replacement car, do I have a case?

Halfords said the brakes needing changing urgently. What a shock. Did they actually provide measurements for the wear?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

IMO no, you have faulty A/C they are trying to fix it. Brakes....mmm wouldn't trust a fast fit unless full measurements were provided, and AC fixed them.
You reported the fault withing the 60 days so how long it takes to fix is not relevant, just keep pursuing them, the a/c only has a few moving parts, so a fix shouldn't be too hard even for them.
Ps as for the creaks and rattles ...well its a used car , French, 3 year old to be expected imo.0 -

I'd suggest you to get in touch with their customer service team directly. I had an issue with my car and the moment I raised a case with them, they solved my issues by offering a courtesy car while mine was repaired. I got in touch with them over the phone but I think you can use social as well?0

Thanks all for your responses.
Happened to be telling my dad about this in passing and he naturally was very angry. Needless to say one phone call from him to the manager of the branch and a replacement car is being organised as he agrees I have been lied to along the way, received poor service and have rightly lost confidence in the car and arnold clark as a whole.
It's ashame in 2018 a young female needs to get a middle aged man to advocate on her behalf before being taken seriously.
Thanks again!0
