Hate to say it, but it isn't up to any of us to tell people what to spend their money on.
As a debt advisor with over 20 years experience, I am happy to recommend areas where expenditure may need to be looked at but that is as far as it should go. Ultimately, my job is to get people out of debt in the quickest time possible, allowing for personal preference on the debt solution preferred by the individual.
I do agree that maybe some areas are not what I would spend money on, but I have a sim card that costs £13 per month, and my spouse and 2 kids spend £167 per month on phones. Who, therefore, am I to argue? Trimming the budget may in fact lead to a worse solution, such as a DMP, so we have to be careful what we wish for.0
