I know I had PPI but so long ago...

Hi

When I was a student (circa 2000) I took any "free money" I could get, I had a number of loans and credit cards, banks were throwing them at me. I know I had PPI on most of them because I had looked into doing PPI claims a long time ago but gave up due to the weight of the admin.

I was contacted by my bank who just sent me a cheque out of the blue but all the rest - credit and store cards mostly - I don't know where to begin.

My main problem is that I can't remember who I had these credit and store cards with and I don't have the paperwork. I thought I could find this info on my credit report but it only goes back 6 years which doesn't help. Is there any easy way to get this information?

PLEASE HELP!!

No one else but you will know who you had credit with. A calims company can't help because they need that info too.

    Forget about it.

  • My ex didn't have information either but went on all the bank websites and put in a PPI check with them. I am assuming you can do this with scorecards just go to their sites and put in for a PPI check you don't have to have account numbers but knowing all your previous addresses you will need. My ex got replies from all of them and on had PPI on and has agreed a refund, worth a try.
