Hi. I am a council tenant in west yorkshire. I am leaving the country to teach English abroad at some point in the near future and wanted to know what would be needed for my 19 year old son to take over the council tenancy. We have applied to have his name put on the tenancy agreement but this has not been confirmed yet.
My son is currently going through the process to be diagnosed as autistic. My sister has agreed to move in with him when I move out so they would still need the two bed property. Due to the autism having to move house would send him into a panic. He is high functioning so can cope in the world but I am trying to reduce the stressors as much as possible.
Can anyone tell me what would be required and roughly how long this would take?
Thanks in advance. Jo
