Land Registry - Lease extension not yet registered but ready to sell
I completed on a lease extension back in November 2017 but have just found it has not yet been registered at the Land Registry. My solicitor advises that HMLR had a query on the original application which was not answered in time and so a new application had to be made which was done on 10 May 2018.
I assumed it would take 3-4 months from November 2017 and so waited until March 2018 to market the property and I have now accepted an offer on it. I really do not want to lose the sale and have heard that I can ask the Solicitor to apply to expedite with HMLR but the application would have to be accepted.
Does anybody know if having a buyer is grounds for expedition and also how long it takes for an application to be accepted.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Edit your thread title to include the words 'Land Registry', that way one of the LR folks will know to have a look at this thread when they're at work tomorrow.0
