Good evening - I am a first time buyer so no experience here and hoping someone can help. Our solicitor has instructed searches and plan has come back - there is an area in front of our drive that we have the right to use subject to a contribution towards the cost and maintenance of these access ways.
How do we find out how much this is? Or how we pay or who to? Is this something our solicitor should look into? I don't want to go back to them and look clueless (even though I am).
There is also a list of restrictions of use of the property - these are quite lengthy and I don't really understand them. There seems to be a lot of referring back to Brosley Estates who I assume built the properties in 1988. Is this quite usual?
I guess in short we are confused and don't know who we would go to to help us make sense of it all. Any help or pointers appreciated. Thank you.

Pop into your solicitor and have a chat.
He's used to FTBers and you're paying him to advise you.0 -
Thank you guys for coming back to me so quick. Am worried we will get stung for charges for this bit of road. The solicitors have drawn out attention to it but not said anything else - would they just assume we understand or would ask if we don't? Guess don't want to look clueless (even if we are). I will ring and ask if we can pop into see them asap. It's so nerve wracking. Thanks again0
