Might be a good idea to mark any information you send to them to prove your identity as 'without prejudice"

But why would you do that ??

They are asking for info they are not entitled to

I wouldn't mark anything (except an offer, and that's rare) 'WP' as that means you cannot then use it in court. Why do that?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A copy of a passport or a driving license to establish identity is perfectly reasonable - I'd ask them to delete this information after they have established the identity, and to be doubly sure use 'without prejudice' - just an idea...

Asking them and that happening are two different things

They have already confirmed who the person is as
they used the DVLA for the name and address to
which the SAR came from the same address requesting
a reply to the same address

I mean it's on the news daily not to send anyone personal
data ? Even a bank would not ask for this let alone a
    tin pot parking company

We are sending a letter back to PE saying that we do not intend to send any private information to them and that the matter will now be referred to the ICO. An online complaint has just been made to the ICO.

Well the Information Commissioners approach took a while but they pressed Parking Eye and today we received a further letter from them. All it really said was to confirm that they obtained our data from the DVLA in order to identify the keeper. They also sent a sheaf of fifteen pages of all the previous correspondence for some reason. There was nothing about deleting the personal information though so the letter has just been forwarded to the the ICO for advice.
