Yes that is very expensive ! Should be about a quarter of that !
How have you come to that conclusion? You have no idea what their energy usage is.
While I suspect that it is a bit on the high side, to suggest that it should be a quarter is pushing it, especially for the gas.
OP, do a comparison on MSE Cheap Energy Club using your annual consumption in kWh (not cost). This will tell you if you are massively overpaying or not. The good news is, that if your deal ends in June then you are just in time to switch to a new tariff.0 -

Is that figure based on estimated readings? For comparison we're in a 2 bedroom mid terrace and paying less for electric & gas combined than you are just for electric. We're in Scotland too so that's not a factor.
What do you mean when you say the MSE site has nothing? You are using your actual yearly usage figures I presume?0 -

Use your actual kwh not £Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Based on me having a similar house to the op. But I didn't appreciate they were in Scotland.
The op wanted an opinion on whether it was expensive, and I was giving some feedback.
So maybe it is closer to a third. Either way, significant! and requires investigation.
Hope the OP finds the reason why.0 -
OP, if you do decide to go with Bulb, I think there is a referral thread on this board somewhere. You can get £50 cash back if you use it (and if memory serves) Hengus mentions it from time to time so you might find it via his posts. HTH.0

Referral codes are available on the MSE Referral Board and also on the Bulb Community forum hosted by Bulb. Just Google 'Bulb referral code'
Just be aware that Bulb has made its customers aware that it will be reviewing its tariffs again in the near future. Given what is happening in the market at the moment, my preference would be for a fixed deal. Octopus is first-class in terms of the switching process; bill, and customer service (yes, I am a customer and I do have a £50 referral link) and their offer is a fixed deal with no exit fees. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thanks, Hengus, did not realise Octopus do that as well.0
