Paypal credit- Can I Book my Tickets?!

Hello people of MSE!
I started a new job recently yet payroll didn't action the correct bits on time, resulting in me having to wait an extra month to get paid. I want to use paypal credit to book an event that I was planning to get last minute tickets for as bots I assume got them all when they came out. Of course I have some funds saved up but I feel now is not the time to splash out with my actual money on non-essentials. The site I wish to use (ticketmaster), does accept something called paypal credit and as it is over £150 I will apparently be eligible for 4 months interest free credit.
So, in short- I can pay this fee back BUT WILL IT AFFECT MY CREDIT SCORE?
I am concerned as there are people saying yes and no on other forums.
Any experiences with it?

Will it affect your credit "score" yes, but there again paying your bills promptly affects your "score"
Bus as your and the company providing the "score" will ever see it who cares.
Will it go on your credit file? YES
Will they do a credit search? YES
Will it show as a debt on your credit file? YES
Its not an automatic thing, you have to apply and get accepted.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
YOU DON'T HAVE A CREDIT SCORE.
With the exception of PDLs, no particular form of credit is seen as either good or bad by lenders. It's how it's managed.0 -
Hi mbsticks,
Do you currently have a Paypal credit account or are you planning to apply for one?
If you already have the account and use it to pay for the ticket, it will only show on your credit report that you are using the credit, and as long as you pay it back it is actually beneficial to build up your score.
If you are actually applying for it, it will be the same as any credit application. You might or not get accepted. If accepted, all fine, you will have a search on your credit report and a month or two after will be showing your new credit account. Your credit score might reduce a little, but nothing to be worried about. If you are not accepted you will still have a search on your credit report but as long as you dont make over 3/4 applications for credit in few months, then it wont cause much problem.
As others have said, do not focus too much on the credit score. It gives you an idea how the banks might look at you, but it is not an exact science because every bank have different criteria to accept credit applicants.0
