Moving house during mortgage application

Hi Everyone, I currently have a mortgage application in with Virgin – just waiting for the valuation to be completed next week.
Between sending the application and now, I have moved from my rented house back in with parents whilst the sale goes through (tenancy was up for renewal and didn’t want to extend knowing I was buying this house). My broker has informed the lender we have moved.
Does anyone know how the lender will view this? As a temporary base or a permanent move – how would it affect the application?

You're better off asking your mortgage broker, but I don't think it will matter. The only thing it would affect is your outgoings in terms of rent and those aren't relevant for a mortgage application because you wouldn't be paying it once you've bought the property. As long as your incomings and other outgoings are as normal, it should be fine.
Different situation, but I sold my flat and moved in with family for four months while waiting for a chain to sort itself out on the place I was buying. I had to reapply for a mortgage during that period as it took longer than I thought, and they weren't remotely interested in the fact I was living with family.0
