What to do? Car Insurance Query

Hi,

I was involved in an accident recently which is currently with the insurers but no decision has yet been made on fault.

I was driving my partners lease car through one of those salary sacrifice schemes and looking at the insurance, she is a named driver through the scheme's insurance and I am the "Domestic Partner" also permitted to drive the vehicle, but my name does not appear on the insurance documents.

Not worried as to whether I am covered or not (I am, had that confirmed by the insurer already) but I was wondering how this would affect my separate insurance on my own vehicle? I assume I would have to tell the insurer that I have had an accident (fault or no fault depending on police/insurer) but do I have to inform them immediately or when I next renew?
