My two sons had an Xbox 360 for Christmas last year, but me being slightly organised bought it about September time so it is out of guarantee (sods law I know). Anyway it keeps freezing, anybody any ideas what could be happening and more to point is it likely to be expensive if it needs putting right? Also any ideas where you take it if it did need to be repaired?

You could try phone MS as they might repair for free as ive heard of other peoples 360's going up the swanny and MS repairing it for free,
just out of curiosity are there any red lights on the power button when it freezesNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
No red lights. Apparently youngest son has just said that red lights are bad news!If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................

Just thought I'd add. We had a very short power cut about 10 days ago. Enough for lights to go off but they came straight back on again, don't know if this has anything to do with situation but it is since then that problem occured. My computer kept turning itselff off for a couple of days too, so just thinking could be something similar? Any suggestions?

If it is out of the 1 year warrenty for the shop Microsoft will charge you about £60 per a repair so take it back to the store that you bought it from and tell them that you want a replacement under the sales of goods act.0

Microsoft extended there warranty to three years due to the faults that were reported. But I would say it does take a while to get through their phone system for anyone to answer.0
