How do you know if it's a Private Listing?

    Similarly, for "personal" items, your Ebay buyer ID doesn't exactly give away much information that could lead to someone tracing the ID back to you, unless you choose to make it so.

    Cookies tend to be your downfall when trying to set up different ebay user ids to hide birthday gifts et al.

    Please can you tell me how as all i see is private listing - bidder identity protected for every bid other than my own?

    I never bid without checking feedback, and it's easy to see there whether their items are private. If they are, then I move on.
