It stared out as a credit card exclusivity gift and has ended up as a Queens Industry Award, posted out second class. Why they would use second class post for such a prestigious award is anyone's guess? Maybe the Queen cant afford a courier after the cost of the wedding?

At which point did I mention the stand being an award or other mark of recognition or significance? You should consider lowering your dosage, those dopamine reuptake inhibitors must be pickling your brain a bit.

Who are those 2 users thanking your posts here, have the three musketeers arrived to demobilize this fictional credibility I supposedly need to ask questions on MSE? :rotfl:

By the way, first and second class is just how fast it gets there, they don't see the package and drop kick it into your dustbin because it's second class while hand delivering a parcel on a purple cushion accompanied by a brass band just because it's first

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Have I once suggested what you have described? :rotfl:

My question was whether Royal Mail delivers 2nd class separate to the normal post through one of their van drivers. I never once asked or said whether 2nd class was treated any differently in terms of delivery quality, it was my neighbors dishonesty I was referring to in that sense.

Christ almighty, some of you are so pathetic on here, scouring for things to twist to make a point (or not) in this case. The original questions have been answered, so let the topic die out and bloody go find someone else to annoy.

    Has it arrived yet?
I wouldn't be surprised if when it comes it turns out to be some sort of cardboard slot it together yourself sort of thing perhaps something like the stands that Amex used to provide to businesses to display their charge card application forms in.
I can't help wondering why, if you are so concerned that your neighbours will steal it, you chose to have it delivered to your home address instead of to the business address, the place where the display case in which you intend to display it is located, where there would have been staff available throughout the day to receive it safely.
I am also a bit surprised that Amex staff were able to tell you the day it had been dispatched and the fact that it had been sent by 2nd class post. I would have expected a reply to the effect that the gifts are dispatched by the supplier and that you should allow 28 days for delivery.

As pathetic as asking about 2nd class post on a credit card forum?

I have to agree with Ben here Aston, I think you're getting into the realms of fantasy again. Your story doesn't make sense and is all over the place.
It started off as a delivery of a cheap give away, and has ended up as an award for your trophy cabinet of your own company. Although you are worried it will be stolen from your doorstep as you live in a bad neighbourhood, you don't want it delivered to your business premises, which I assume will have someone there when the parcel is delivered so will overcome your issue? Why?

You have to admit Aston it doesn't seem a credible story, are you trying to make your life sound a bit more exciting than it is?

Anyhoo I'm not sure if you've every asked a question on a forum before, your lacking of understanding of how this all works would suggest not?

But as you are a Newbie I can offer you some advice,

Firstly post in the correct section, this wasn't a credit card question

Secondly keep it succinct and to the point, the waffle you added to the question was irrelevant. Who is interested that you've been awarded a complimentary branded ornament stand? Its totally immaterial to the question, nobody cares.

What you should have done is posted in the correct section and asked this,

'Does anyone know the estimated time of delivery for 2nd class parcels? And does the postman deliver them with your letters or does a separate branch of Royal Mail deliver them in their vans only? Just so I know whether to wait longer after the postman has already been by'.

And finally don't keep trying to embellish your story, if you read it back it makes you look like a nutter living in a fantasy world!

Hope the above helps, take care

Yes you did, you literally stated
2nd class is lower-tier enough for the postman to leave it outside the door

Second and first are classed as the same in terms of delivery quality, first is not going to be any more or any less likely to be left outside the door

I am one of the (now 3) users who thanked that post.
I believe the post was a joke. I found it amusing.

I'm certainly not going to be a lackey in my own company.

That and that alone is why is sincerly hope your "company" fails. Too many "im better than you" attitudes in ownership/managment.

    Oh, enjoy your cardboard ornament.
