Message regarding bank holiday

Just had a message from someone to say that because they bought their item on a bank holiday when the post office was closed, it has to be sent first class. The item with postage costs £2.45. It is listed with second class post and has a two day dispatch time set.

I worry about the level of intelligence needed to use ebay- sometimes I can sort of see what they are getting at and other times I am confused by their lack of any understanding. This is the latter.
You can see their feedback left for others, I'd use that to determine how to proceed. My initial thoughts was to A) ignore message send item and then email to say something (in a cheerful and positive manner) It's OK as the one day dispatch wouldn't be affected by the bank holiday as Tuesday would still be the day it was due to be sent, so this was sent 2nd class this morning, thank you. Or send that sort of message first and ask them to let you know, by 11am if they would prefer to cancel, otherwise as per your listing it will be going today.
I have made a conscious decision not to worry as much as I used to about ebay anymore. I think the fact that I am on 100%, no negs no neutrals and with no defects (except a couple of lates) that I am on borrowed 'lucky' time anyway, and it will all suddenly come crashing down around me regardless of how nice I am to buyers or how much stupidity I put up with.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I would reply with something like "All the information regarding dispatch times and estimated delivery times can be found on the order"You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

It probably depends on the difference and the profit but just to save any later aggro I may have sent it first class.
I rarely send post on a Saturday so will often upgrade Monday post to first class if the order came in on the Friday.
As we're getting increasing amounts of deliveries on Sundays and Bank Holidays we can expect more messages like this.
Just as an aside, at the Easter weekend Amazon put a lot of items below £8 as "add on" items, so any Prime delivery items/orders were more often than not over £20..0 -

On ebay Saturday is no longer a despatch day, so all my orders from Friday go on Monday and still hit the despatch target that ebay states. I used to worry about Saturdays but no longer worry about trying to get to the PO or upgrading the service.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Amazon's the same but I tend to post before midday so any orders that come in at 1pm on a Friday may seem late if they don't turn up until Wednesday or Thursday by second class. The difference is mostly 20-30p so it barely scratches the surface profit wise. I'm lucky to be able to leave a cushion to upgrade to first class whenever so I can miss a day's post and send some the next day.On ebay Saturday is no longer a despatch day, so all my orders from Friday go on Monday and still hit the despatch target that ebay states. I sent the item first class on the basis that it's such a small thing to get bothered about (called choosing your battles).
She contacted me a few days later (1st class isn't what it used to be) and said she's not happy with the item and wants a refund.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
