Bought Trainers with no insole?

Just recently bought a pair of significantly reduced trainers from a business selling trainers/ sports equipment, old stock, shop soils and returns

I received trainers no insoles, can see stitching etc, they are clean and new, no other problems at all, I rechecked listing and says nothing about insole missing, never have I bought a pair of shoes or trainers without the inner sole.

I have contacted buyer to explain situation, bank holiday weekend, so will wait and see

Is this ok?
Do I have a case if buyer is not responsive?
Item not as described?
Or
Something missing?

You would have a case for “not as described”, yes.

What outcome is it you’re looking for here?

You can ask the seller for a partial refund of a few pounds so you can buy some insoles, but you can’t force them. They can tell you to return them for a full refund, or just to keep them with no refund.

    The outcome?
The seller to respond and acknowledged their mistake, discount or refund

Annoyed coss, they are really discounted, I thought it was too good to be true, I have absolutely no money, thought I had found such a good bargain, they are netball trainers, I need a proper insole, last time I looked that was a few years back was about £15/£20
I really don!!!8217;t have cash to buy, but really don!!!8217;t want to return them, was gonna use old netball trainer insoles till I can get some more money

Annoyed at the dishonesty of it all, and have a feeling I won!!!8217;t gear from them unless I open a case

You cannot make the seller acknowledge their mistake or discount. You can make them refund but only with a return (if they want it) but they do have the option to refund without it.

There may not be any dishonesty, just a mistake, but you won't know until you let them know and see what they say.

    Update......
Heard nothing from seller after 5 days
Left a negative feedback, next day received email from seller apologising and saying will send insoles to me.

Good outcome if insoles are sent to me
  • Maybe they removed the insoles for hygiene reasons if they sell shop soiled and returns.
