I've also been told and read online not to buy any radiators from Screwfix or B & Q

    Why is that?

By memory Quinn are Kitemarked, which is a must for any radiator. So I do not see any issues with this brand.

Well as a general rule the majority of Electricians and Plumbers say that they wouldn't use B & Q or Screwfix for certain items some of which include electrical wiring, fuse boards, copper pipe, radiators as well as kitchens although B & Q are exceptionally keen on price as a general rule

That's because we get better deals as tradesmen from suppliers - however, copper pipe from screwfix is to BS, so no worries there (although 'they don't make 'em like they used to' applies to almost everything we/you buy :) )

What source did you use that says the majority, which is over half, of UK Electricians and Plumbers, say that they wouldn't use B & Q or Screwfix?

I don't think you can use as a general rule for such a large percentage of tradesmen without and factual evidence.

You should say that you've been on a few forums and a few people have commented that they don't buy from Screwfix or B&Q

Anyway, we've moved from radiators to electrics but ok, from your earlier posts it seems you have issues over quality with screwfix and B&Q, are you saying electrical items such as fuse boards that screwfix sell don't meet British standards?

For that many radiators, some discount is available but not online, visit a local plumbers merchants and discuss your needs in person.
Can i ask why you need to exchange your radiators ?
Plenty of radiator manufacturers around these days,if yours are old they could be imperial sizes and difficult to match up the length so the pipes fit with out pipe alterations.Consider myson premier he imperial radiators, they do a limited range of imperial sized radiators.
For metric radiators we have used Henrad radiators for more than 25 years, look same as stelrad but much cheaper.
Instead of the usual radiator design (corrugated vertical design) consider flat panel type radiators. They look more modern and worth a few extra £.
    Check out Henrad radiators.

    good luck.
