I I'm a 60 year old guy on Universal Credit
I was given a three week gap between appointments because my advisor was going away and a month is gone past so quick I looked at my appointment card today thinking I had to go tomorrow and I was supposed to be there last week on Wednesday!!
The time has just with past. I've lost count of the weeks
Does anyone know what will happen now?
I will go into the Jobcentre tomorrow and explain but I'm so stressed that they will stop my claim altogether
Thanks for any information xx

My plans to go in tomorrow anyway so that's what I'll do the woman is really reasonable but you never know whether she has to tow the line with the computer0

And yes, without a good excuse you may be sanctioned. You need to make sure not to miss appointments in future.0 -

Does it really matter? I'm sure we ALL knew what the OP meant.:p0 -
Phone 0800 328 5644 tomorrow morning lines open from 8am to run through the fail fo attend information. They will book you a new appointment at the Job Centre. There might not be appointments tomorrow or even this week, but at least you have made contact in the right way.
You could try going into the Job Centre, but they will be very busy and it is possible all of the Work Coaches will be fully booked. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -

I would definitely call them, if your local job centre is anything like mine then things get misplaced, people say they will do things later and never do etc. If you call them direct at least you will know the next steps and that they have a record of your contact. If you have a good track record as in always attended other appointments then they may just let you off and resume as normal with your normal schedule. But that is not a definitive answer as it depends who you speak to. Try and stay calm with them and remember it is bank holiday so the phone call queue may be long.0

I don't see the point of holding out false hope to the original poster by stating he might or could be sanctioned for missing an appointment because of forgetfulness as it's a certainty he will be.0

It's not a certainty some of the work coaches are nice and might give him a second chance.0
