Easiest way to minimise costs is not to overspend on park tickets.
So many people I know end up buying 14 day tickets for WDW, 14 day tickets for Universal, tickets for SeaWorld/Busch Gardens/Aquatica/Discovery Cove, plus KSC etc - ending up with enough entry tickets for 6 weeks when they're only there for 2!
Research and decide what you really want to do and see and weigh up the value to the cost.
2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shading
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
    MFW #4 OPs (offset): 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07,
    2021 £1250.00, 2022 £1500.00, 2023 £1500
    Target for 2024 (offset) = £1200, YTD £460

Disney have a crafty pricing policy , Unless you only want to do 2 days in the park , the 14 day ( tend to be 7 day with 7 days 'free') work out the cheapest , of course you wont make full use of it , especially if you want to do all the other parks . We havent done Disney ( or Universal ) for a few years , I have heard to do all the parks its about £500 per head now , once you factor in the parking its a very expensive holiday ( considering Florida isnt that expensive for a holiday )

Op theres not a lot of ways to save much money overall , depending how many there are going , you could make some savings on food

If someone only has the time (or inclination) to spend one day in each of the 4 main Disney parks, they could, for example, buy 4 day MYW tickets on the gate for $426 per adult (approx £315) compared to £369 for '14 days for the price of 7' bought in the UK.
    That's over £100 saving for 2 adults.

Of course, if they're going to spend more days or want to park hop it might be cheaper to buy tickets before travelling, but that's why it pays to plan out how much time you have and want a spend in each park before you go - we saved a 4 figure sum this way over several trips :)

Alternatively, I know people who go every year and they do Universal one year and WDW the next, making much fuller use of their 14 day tickets than they would if trying to squeeze everything in during each trip.
