Is she the sole owner or is the property jointly owned with her ex? (why else would they split the money 50/50?)
But either way, the vendor or joint vendors can instruct their conveyancer to transfer the money to wherever they choose.

OP in the 5 weeks that TSB have been having problems since the switch of computer systems has your daughter encountered problems with her day to day banking?
I appreciate there are problems but it doesn't actually have much impact on all customers.
Then again if she has lost faith in the bank why has she not opened another account somewhere else?
