you should've got an Ariel Atom.... I speak as the ex-owner of an Atom..... most fun in a car I've ever had.... well the most fun driving a car anyhow :D

Why did you get rid?
  • Not much of a car though, you get wet lol.

Am thinking of maybe building a ultima, but knowing me it would have to have a 1000hp blower on it. Have hand built, tuned + welded carefully every part of the skyline, its my baby and has emptied my pockets of 30K. You can say what you like but one blast around elvington overtaking all the supercars and you will change your mind!

  • The price of cars normally falls, a few appreciate but not many, one such example of an appreciating car is the toyota AE86, a 1980s car that is difficult to find for under 5 grand thanks to its cult status.

A new aston martin on the other hand will lose 50 grand when you drive it out the showroom, not unlike a new build flat :D

You guys wanna get yourselves a classic. No depreciation at all!
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

And no road tax either. I was considering getting an old landrover and running it on veg oil, but it's probably more effort than it's worth!

If I was doing this I would buy myself a chassis & build it up with modern components - get a modern engine etc.
