Another vote for changing now, have a look here http://www.x-rates.com/d/EUR/GBP/graph120.html rate has just turned for the worse for her but is still very good compared with the last six months.

    Hi,
I've been given some Euro's a present by a European relative, and am wondering what's the best way to exchange it to put it in to my bank (nationwide) in GBP.
I've heard HSBC accept Euro's in their British locations, and can go down that route if necessary (giving it to my partner to put in his account then transferring it to my nationwide) but really have absolutely no understanding of the best method, to get the most pounds in return for my Euro's! It's in cash (notes) not a cheque, so don't think I'm able to go to online exchangers. Not in a mahoosive rush, but would be better to have it in my account within the next few weeks...if this would impact the exchange rate?

Any help would be massively appreciated!

    Thanks in advance :) x

Any High Street BdeC or bank will change into ££ for you, though not at a particularly good rate. You can then deposit the cash in your bank account

On line exchanges will do it (some of them anyway) but you have to post the notes to them by Royal Mail Special Delivery (£5 ish, which cuts into the better exchange rate if you only have a small amount)

If it is a flexaccount you have, just pay it in. I get paid in Euro every month, direct to my flexaccount, no charges or loading
