Most reliable way to check credit score?

Hello!
Having recently turned 27 I've found myself to be having a bit of a premature midlife crisis lol and have decided to get my act together and clear up my credit file and was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions I have :).

Can anyone advise the most reliable way to check my credit file to find out what debts I still have to pay off and what is affecting it? Ive used clearscore, giffgaff and the credit club but some of them show different things from others so im not sure what one is actually accurate. What one would a mortgage lender be most likely to look at?

Does anyone know what happens when I finish paying my trust deed in February? Im sure I was advised that some accounts will still show on my credit file as having the original outstanding balance before I entered it but that when I complete it the accounts being paid through it will show as closed, does anyone know if this is correct?

How long after being in a trust deed would I be able to apply for a credit building credit card?

Any advice on the above would be great. I'm really looking to try and get my act together with the view of working towards getting a mortgage eventually but im not sure how things work.

Thanks in advance :D

The three you are registered show reports from the three CRA, they will vary because it depends who reports what to which agency. Again for mortgage companies, it varies what CRA they use when doing checks which is why its recommended to check all three.
  • Ah thats great thank you I will keep a wee eye on them then

Don't worry about the score, but check the reports to make sure everything is as it should be.
