Cold treats for dogs (ice lollies)

I am looking for ideas for ice treats for my dog, I currently just have 2 on the menu that he likes apart from plain ice cubes.
Frozen Yoghurt with some of his biscuits crumbled in or choc drops or apple bits (or any combination).
Banana mixed with peanut butter, honey and some water, again with some kind of treat mixed in before freezing.
I've tried him with frozen carrots but he is not keen, I am looking for any other suggestions please now that the hot weather is upon us.

dog food ice cubes - just scoop out of tin/sachet in into ice cube tray
sardines - in oil or tomato juice not salt
white fish
cooked brocoli, carrots, any other veg - cooked works better they're too solid otherwise
yoghurt pots
cottage cheese0 -
and of course proper ice lollies in moderation, but not the chocolate or any with sorbitol0

Anything with Xylitol is deadly for dogs, so make sure there are no sweeteners in anything you give them.0

If dogs are really suffering in this heat, then perhaps consider buying one of the wet jackets for them - will keep them lovely and cool. (Plus the lollies of course!).

This ^^^
Daughter is a veterinary nurse and says they've had a spate of pets in with xylitol poisoning lately.
Xylitol causes an extreme release of insulin in non-primate species, causing hypoglycemia (life threateningly low blood sugar) and acute hepatic necrosis (severe liver failure).
Other artificial sweeteners can also cause upset stomachs and digestive distress.
Always check the ingredients, xylitol can be found in many things you might never imagine could contain artificial sweeteners, including peanut butter!
Also some peanut butters contain palm oil, which is not harmful in small amounts but can cause upset stomachs in larger quantities.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Blueberries frozen into icecubes.
I also stuff kongs or similar 'fill' toys with a mixture of tinned fish (sardines or tuna) in oil/water* and any combination of the following:
- chopped bananas
- chopped apples
- blueberries
- chopped strawberries
- grated carrots
- chopped cucumber
ie. any fresh fruit/veg that is safe for dogs and your dog likes, really.
Then freeze the whole thing (I do 6 or 7 at a time). The sardine ones in particular really stink but my dog goes potty for them.
I've had some success with freezing wet things (yoghurt, mashed banana etc) into lickimats: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LICKIMAT-Buddy-Treat-Assorted-colors/dp/B072HKRVGB although I have to very closely supervise as this 'game' invariably ends up as 'chewymat' :rotfl:
Good luck; I'd be interested to know what you try and how successful it is - there's been some interesting suggestions on this thread.
*I was a bit unsure about putting tinned fish in but had a google and came to the conclusion a sixth of a small tin a couple of times a week should be alright as long as the dog's not overweight to begin with. Fish in brine to be avoided as too salty though. I tried the ones in tomato sauce but the mixture made me heave.0 -
