Oh dear, I'd taken it as a tongue in cheek comment!

I have failed to do any ironing, now that's a big surprise. It is too humid to do that activity anyhoo.

My friend has been over and now I have lovely white lilies.

Mower was about four years old - perhaps it can be mended. My ex-OH phoned earlier to annouce a royal visit. He's an electrical engineer so will take a look at it as part of his B&B 'payment'.

I can recall exactly the last time I had to water the garden, it was August 10 last year. That was the day that Camelot was here for a visit and helped me plant potatoes for Christmas. By the end of September I had to take the bags into the barn as they were just always soggy.

Bloke is here spreading the bark :T

Got a call from DM, she's had the emergency doc out because of a severe muscle spasm in her back. It was annoying her yesterday but now seems to have significantly worsened. Luckily she has really good neighbours who are ministering to her every need, the husband has zoomed off to Boots to get the prescribed tramadol and diazepam. DM will be 'fleeing' tonight. Everyone has told me not to go down today so I'll wait now until Tuesday. She's got food, drink etc and won't be bed bound once the spasm wears off.

I have to sit down to iron, too. Also, I can't lift the ironing board myself, Mr LW has to set it up for me, and he invariably sets it too high and I have to get him to alter it. Thankfully he does remember I can't iron right-handed.

Im a slovenly mare that doesnt iron at all. All my clothes are tumble dried (not very moneysaving i know) so they really only need hanging when they come out of the drier.
