    Although I love the work of George Formby, he's not my favourite singer, that honour goes to the great Bing Crosby.

    His signature song 'My Way' send shivers down my spine everytime I hear it. Wonderful.

    if you put the meat in a bag it gets steamed it you won't be grilling.

    you have to have the steam escaping to grill.

    a couple of sheets of paper open ends to protect the plates might work you still need the drip tray.

    I haven't tasted them, but why not? Don't they look decent? I would cook them a bit more though.

    Not sure that would help, looks to me like the plates are not getting hot enough to give a decent crust while keeping the inside moist.
    the paper won't be helping.

    Our solution for grilling meats was a small gas BBQ,
    Used regularly you only need to clean when storing away for the winter.
