Working out housing benefit calculations
Comments
-
For anyone that is claiming housing benefit/LHA then you can't claim anymore than what your rent is. For example, if your rent is £500 PCM and your HB max allowance for the area/circumstances is £520 then you would get £500 and not a penny more.So what happens now if the rents have fallento under your allowance for your area, but you don't want to move to a nicer place?
Shall I ask my landlord to put my rent up to the amount I can get, and then ask for all new furniture or something?
Why would you want to ask the LL to increase the rent?
Do you claim HB? just curious because of all the questions you're asking.0
