    Any tumble drier can have an increased fire risk if you don't de-fluff it regularly. There really is no short cut to this.

    Yes, fires can be caused by other means (power boards etc.) but if you can cut down one risk, why not?

    I think all machines should have an airflow monitor that can disable the machine until the filter(s) have been cleaned.
