I'd stop before I'd plough on and damage my car at a known hazard.

I must report a badly parked car down my road, drive into it 3 weeks later then try and claim from the owner!

Your better off getting a secondhand alloy and tyre from the e-bay and swallowing the new cost of a new bulb and carry on saving for the shock that you need to replace.

Pretty dangerous to stop on a roundabout in MIlton Keynes and there was no markers around it either. Also within 8 days of receiving my claim form the pothole was considered bad enough to need priority repairs within 24 hrs?

So as per the monthly schedule......

    Why?

The Highway Code makes it clear that all road users should drive at a speed at which they could safely stop in an emergency.

If the pothole was bad enough to do that amount of damage then only a complete fool would deliberately drive into it!

If someone had hit you because you had stopped then at least you would be able to claim off of their insurance!

    Hello,

I have been putting together a case in order to submit a county court claim against Milton Keynes Council.

There is numerous errors and mistakes that have been made it turns out. I can't go into further details until after the hearing.

Here is an image you can see why I couldn't go to the left as there is a curb there, pothole is where large black rectangle is. You can also see how a car could have been to my right.

I was on the outside lane.

Any reason why you couldn't just stop until the road was clear to go round it. If I were you I would think very carefully before spending more money on taking this to court as I think you have a very weak case and the council a strong defence
