Cats making a mess

Morning all.
sorry if this is in the wrong place but its to do with my garden.
We appear to have a cat that likes to dig and pop in my lovely flower beds and now its taken a liking to the raised bed ive just added mulch too. Both houses either side have dogs, yet it appears to pick my garden.
Can anyone recomend ways i can keep it out of my garden? i live in a row of terraces so unsure who the cat belongs too and when i spot it and go out, it bolts!
Its really making a mess of my whole garden and it seems to do it first thing in the morning before i get up

We are surrounded by cats so I feel your pain. They are nice animals and I do like them but I don't like the poop nor seeing them sitting on seedlings.
A few things I have done is lay a couple of stems of holly or something like that over seedlings/plants/earth.
Pepper sprinkled down.
Chili pepper same
Cat repellent spray from garden centre
Sticks in the ground.
The pepper works quite well. They do move to a different spot so you then have to sprinkle pepper there but they do get the message eventually.
I came down this morning to find one sitting in my open greenhouse on top of wet fleece! :rotfl:0 -
Cheers Linda32. il give it a try.
Have you ever thought about buying and using the controlled noise replent you can buy? It must be high frequency so saty away due to the noisey only them can hear? i saw one in B&Q for £27. but ive not seen any reviews if its worth it?3-6 Emergency Fund, No96: £1,000 / £2,000 - House Deposit: £11,000 / £11,000 - Holiday Fund: £100 / £1,300 -

Assuming that getting a cat of your own is a non-starter, try soaking used tea bags with olbas oil and dotting them around the most vulnerable spots. Cats hate the smell, and the tea bags blend in with the soil.
Just to point out that having our own furry madam keeps other cats out of the garden, while she's too much of a lady to do her business in the open air in our garden or anyone else's. Indoor litter tray is her go-to choice every time!0 -

That's a great idea! I'm surrounded by cats who all seem to use our garden and dig my plants up (especially newly-planted ones) and replace them with big smelly cat poos!:mad:0
