Google Street View not working

Anyone else notice google street view not working at the moment, at least within Chrome? Every street I click on I'm just getting the default greyed out image with the address on it.

Update: Just checked using IE and that works as normal so it must be something up/changed with my Chrome browser version.

Sometimes it depends what you searched for. I find if you click on an embedded map, or a map for a specific address the yellow man isn't available. I find it infuriating.

I've not had to use the "yellow man" for years. I simply left-click on the street I want to see and a box will pop up with a picture of street which I'll click to go to street view, if street view isn't available the box will show a default, grey image. Now it's showing the grey image box all the time.

Just tried it on random parts of the country and it's fine. Make sure first that your Chrome is up to date and then clear cache & cookies, shut it down and open it up again. If you still can't use it then it'll probably be one of your addons, you'll need to go through them one by one to find out which. You could also try resetting Chrome in case it's something you've changed.

That worked for a bit but as soon as a logged in to Google it stopped again. There must be some settings somewhere that have changed. It may have coincided with me getting a new android phone last week, maybe there's some permission not set on the phone that's synch'd over to my account on the PC.

Go into google maps and find somewhere it doesn't work, then click on the share button and paste the shortcut URL here and we can all test it

SV doesn't work anywhere.

As it works in IE the issue is with your browser, chrome.

If you don't have any extensions (or you've disabled them all) and the issue remains, do a reset:
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en-GB

If that doesn't work, make a new profile with this:

I've been in contact with the Google help guys on their forums and they're currently looking into it. It's a bit strange because it only seems to stop working once I'm logged in to my Google account, log out and SV is working as expected. I've raised the question whether they think it might be a GDPR issue as it only seems to have started since yesterday evening.
