EON Notice Period

I am coming to the end of my fixed term period with EON and will be moving accounts. I have tried to see what the fee free notice period is but can't find it on their website. All I can find is what is on the bill (Exit fee £30 - if you switch supplier before this tariff ends) and there is nothing on the website.
Can anyone assist please?

If you are in the final 49 calendar days of a fixed-term contract, your energy provider is not allowed to charge you fees for switching.

You can initiate a swith without penalty 49 days before your current tariff ends, but I personally do it when there's 42 days left oon the current contract.

EDIT - Antrobus beat me to it.

E.oN is required by Ofgem to notify you, in the period 49 to 42 days before the contract end date that your contract is coming to an end. You do not need to tell E.oN that you are leaving. Provided E.oN is notified by the new supplier via industry procedures by contract end date plus 20 days that a transfer is in progress, you will remain on your present E.oN tariff until the transfer goes through.

Morning hollie.weimeraner and already some excellent advice on here. Thanks all. To confirm what's already been posted, we've a Price Protection window for customers coming to the end of Fixed Term deals.

This window is open 49 calendar days before fixed tariffs end until 20 working days after. Provided we're told, we'll keep you on the cheaper prices whilst a change of supplier goes through. Exit fees also don't apply whilst in this window.

You don't need to tell us you're moving but the new supplier needs to apply for the account within this window. We'll write to you between 42 and 49 calendar days before your tariff ends with details.

Sorry to lose you hollie.weimeraner and hope this explains. Let me know if you need any more information as happy to help.
