Barratt Build Time

Options
Hi there,
Just purchased a New Build with Barratt in Edinburgh. It's a 3 Bed Semi, with a driveway but no garage.
The roof is on and the block work was finished last week, all windows in and I think the doors are in.
I don’t have an anticipated completion date yet, just November 18 on mortgage paperwork but suspect it will be sooner than that.

Can anyone comment on how long build time should be from the stage I'm currently at? I’m a first time buyer and struggling with not knowing

Thanks!

  • I purchased a new build at the end of August last year, it didn't have the roof or anything on at the time and we completed and moved in in the first week of December. This wasn't with barratt though. I suppose the amount of time can depend on the size of the development as well as numerous other factors

Based on how long it took them to finish my house from that stage it should be less than three months, however it is entirely possible that having got it water/weather tight they may focus their efforts elsewhere...
  • Thanks for the replies. Hopefully it wont take too long, waiting is the hardest part!
