I'd prefer to choose items that I know I like and which suit my skin rather than some random product that somebody thinks I might like - at what may well be an inflated price.0 -
+1 to this ^^^^

another +1. Beauty boxes are a waste of money. Especially if you cannot use most of the products.0 -
On the basis I only wear makeup very rarely and the beauty regimes very often get started with the best of intentions but quickly dropped, I wouldn't.0

My daughter has a similar thing going, getting a box once a month. She uses some items but I get a lot of things she won't use, so I say yes, go for it, your friends or relations will be very grateful.0

I was going to ask, a box of what? I've never heard of buying cosmetics in a box, like a veg box. Daft buying things you don't want or need. Choose a nice present yourself.

At one point I subscribed to birch box but I didn't really like what I received and ended up selling a lot of it on eBay - sometimes for a profit0

OP I think it's probably great if you are looking to discover new products, but many of the boxes seem full of smaller sample sizes and rarely seem good value for money. Occasionally the one-off boxes can do but they're rarely affordable, I think most people over the age of 35have already fairly strong ideas on what they/we do or don't like so these boxes can feel like a waste if you get sent a load of items that don't meet the mark. Buyer Beware would be my advice.
