Can SLC take money from any inheritance my parents leave me?

With the SLC deadline looming, I'm getting quite worried. I've asked around and had a look on forums and things... and well, here I am...

My father has concerns that my getting a student loan will lead to him having to pay to off the "graduate tax" through inheritance that he leaves me. In essence, he wants me to pay it off by my own means.

Anyways, as complicated as that is, my question is simple.

Can SLC demand that I pay off my loan by taking out of my inheritance?

No, student loans are paid from income. An inheritance is not income.
