I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis.

Please don't worry about this. When my Mum died last year there were several small outstanding debts (she died suddenly so they couldn't be cleared in advance) and I had no problems paying them. I just contacted the companies, cleared the balance and the accounts were closed. It was a lot easier than I expected and companies were very understanding.
