Help! Tradeinforcash scam

Hi guys,

I really hope someone can help. Long story short I sent an Xbox to tradeinforcash (an online trade-in website). They later messaged me saying the item was faulty, when I know 100% it was working fine. They offered me a very low revaluation, so I declined. This is where the stress begins!

The communcation regarding sending me the item has been horrific, constant lies about when it will be posted, estiamted dates etc. they claimed they have sent it tracked using Royal mail, but it has now been over 5 working days so even the slowest service would of arrived by now. I sent them several email saying can I have the tracking, have you actually posted etc but no response. i think that they may have scammed me, what are my consumer rights in this situation

A LBA did the trick. They dont like having their profile raised through the courts or trading standards etc.

EDIT: in fairness, i've done a quick check and they do seem legit and there isnt an unusual amount of bad feedback about them.

I just found a page saying they were delaying their reopening and were closed until 28th May due to updating their website.
I now can't find that message, so perhaps " scam " is a bit strong..perhaps they have technical issues.

It is just the lack of consistency in their communication. One minute they say it will be posted today the next they say it will be posted within 30 days. Also, they advised me they would used royal mail tracked as a return but now wont reply. Im hoping there is just a delay, but im not filled with confidence at the moment.
