    The only benefit is if you are very financially nervous and think you will spend more than you can repay.

    Not to be recommended.

    Not exactly the only benefit. Buying with a credit card will provide buyer protection. I personally have done that and then when the purchases delivered immediately paid off the balance. But I don't really see the benefit of using the credit card in such a way for everyday purchases such as shopping: Might as well use a debit card.

    In my experience, the current balance for a month reflects the balance when the issuer generates the statement for that month.

    The CRAs must have a special setup - just for me.

    Mine show the amount transacted each month, the credit limit (for each month) and also the amount of cash advances (for each month) too.

    I've never heard of this before.
    The clever thing to do is to wait for the bill to arrive and pay it off just before the due date.
