Hi
I use two estate agents to let a property and may I ask if I can remove the show board before a tenant is found.
The two boards stick right on the middle lawn they do not look great and it's very hard to mow the lawn during the summer time. I don't think the board is useful as everyone just search online
thanks

You can ask the agents to remove them.
When I was selling a house once, I was annoyed that the agent hammered a sign into my newly laid lawn, so I pulled it up and laid it down. A day later, the ***!!!!!8364;$** had stopped by and hammered it into the lawn again causing more damage. After that, I pulled it up and shut it in the garage and that seemed to do the trick!
However, it is your property and if you don't want a board on it, then you don't have to. In some agent agreements I've had, there was a box to tick to agree that you would allow a board. So the shutting it in the garage trick will work, but really you should ask them to take it away.0 -
You can remove them yourself but I have always found that if you contact the agent they will remove them.
Reading the above response its also correct that you can request no board to be displayed. Agents are more than happy not to display a board if its not wanted or needed as they do get charged for them.
As a LL I don't have boards and my agent happily knocks £40 off my bill!in S 38 T 2 F 50
