  • I know, super happy with it.

I just can't wait to get into the £1k's now.

I do have some savings in the bank which I was considering just paying towards the debt but I am going to leave it a while cos it is also making me happy when I have a look at the balances.

    The dilemma!

I'm all on 0% anyway right now so no need to rush a decision.

You're doing great Dolly, really getting there with paying the debt down and all those extra earnings.

I think you're right hanging off paying the debt down with your savings. Make sure you have a good think about it first, especially if it's all on 0% and you have a plan for paying it down. I suppose it depends how much your savings are and how much of it you'd want to pay to the debt. Would it leave you with a good enough emergency fund?

As you say, you're in no rush so you have time to think about it and decide.

  • It would be everything I have so this is why I am gonna wait & not rush a decision.

It's good having some money in the bank just incase anything happens with the car or some other expense pops up.

Just can't wait for it all to be gone so that all of my money is my own.

  • Oh, i know that feeling well! I've still got £17k (from £25k) to go and can't wait to build up some savings and start putting our hard earned cash towards savings and things that we actually want/ need.

What are your plans for your cash once you're debt free?

  • I honestly don't know.

Things are so up in the air at the moment, I'm still struggling to adjust to being single after 17 years so I just want to focus on this then see how I am feeling in the new year.

I need to get divorced & I just feel like with this still hanging over me I am struggling to feel like I can completely move on. Won't be able to apply to the courts until February 2019 for this.

I know for a fact that there is no chance of us getting back together due to the way the relationship was ended by him but just want to know that I no longer need to have any contact with him at all then I can just close that chapter of my life.

I'm also back staying with my Mum which is working out perfectly if I am honest with you but will eventually have to go it on my own but that's not even really something I am even thinking about right now.

  • Morning,

So payments to the 2 CC's have cleared & balances have reduced.

I have a Sainsburys Bank CC & a Barlcaycard CC, thinking of closing down the BC once the balances have been paid & just keeping the SBCC, I get Nectar points with that one & I like to use that to pay for holidays etc to maximise points.

I will make that decision in January 2019 once all the debt is PIF.

In work, onto my 2nd black coffee so eyes are starting to stay open :p

In here from 8am till 7pm again today so another long day but will be busy so will go quickly.

  • Yup you could say that.

It's been an absolute horrific time if I'm being honest but I won't let his actions define me or how I am going to live my life.

It's time for me to put myself first for a change, never happened before as been in a relationship with him since I was a teenager!
