Having just helped an RK in England submit an "appeal", I can now see why newbies struggle. Even with my refusal to accept BS, and my confidence in dealing with scammers I felt a touch intimidated. (It's so much easier with the Scottish ones where I could simply tell them to ignore everything.)

As I took them through the process, screenprinting everything, I actually felt tense and worried. Which brings me to my second point : thank you CM for making the wording easy with your excellent advice, without which I would have struggled.

To any newbie reading this, please follow the brilliant help and advice from CM and our other resident experts, and don't let the scammer _=)) £)) **'s grind you down.

I've just walked in brandishing a real Council parking ticket from my car (only my second in thirty years!). Had a very friendly ten minute chat with the CEO who was strolling around the corner.

Can't go into detail, but it was a mere mistake by me while distracted and he knows I will appeal (and we agreed I will win) and made notes in his pocket book that will assist me.

He even knew about MSE and pepipoo!

Sometimes I can be nice to parking wardens!
