Hi guys I feel so stupid posting this!!.....but here goes.
A day last week I was driving and amber gambled through some traffic lights which then went red which had a camera specifically for red lights etc. Here is the stupid part, I am not sure if the camera flashed as it was a very bright day. I know the lights went red within seconds of me amber gambling but I am so panicked by what I done.
Could anyone advise?

I'd advise you to stop at amber in futureEx forum ambassador

Sit tight and see if you receive anything in the next two weeks. The camera has done its job if it's made you think about gambling again. Better to have a safe scare than an accident.0

Come on man, lessons to be learnt right there, don't amber gamble on red light cameras. Right risky that is.0

Of course that will only apply if they are the registered keeper of the car.0 -

What exactly do you mean?
Had the whole car passed the stop line? If so, then you won't have been photographed.
BTW regardless, you would have committed an offence by crossing the line on amber.0 -
I am almost 100% sure I got through fully on amber. The light went red seconds after that0

In that case, you would not have been flashed. But a policeman may have seen you.0 -

From the Highway Code.AMBER means ‘Stop’ at the stop line. You may go on only if the AMBER appears after you have crossed the stop line or are so close to it that to pull up might cause an accident0 -

The OP's use of "gamble" suggests that she had a choice and made a deliberate decision, i.e. it would not have been unsafe to stop.0 -
Suggests, well yes, probably, or maybe the OP remembers the old Amber Gambler public service ads from the 70's and is just using that terminology.

Who knows, either way it is not always an offence to cross the line on ambers, as you implied.0
