Hello there
I recently had a rear lounge extension & due to this I have had my Sky dish abit higher but now I , can't get a signal , will sky charge me for a callout or am I covered under insurance. Bear in mind I have had the sky q service for about 4 months now
Kind Regards

What does your insurance say about call outs? You'll have to read the terms as nobody else knows what's in it.
I'd be inclined to say they may charge, unless it was someone Sky themselves sent out to move the dish? Who moved it?0 -
Sky will charge you without a doubt I'd have thought, not sure how much. Don't know about your insurance but if it's accessible to you then it's simple enough to do yourself. You just need a satellite finder for a tenner.

If they moved it higher did they actually attach it to the cable again?0

I suggest whoever moved it is responsible for ensuring it works0

Had my Sky dish moved when I had an extension built - employed a local satellite "engineer" to do the work inc. checking that it was all working afterwards -sounds like you left it to the builder:eek:0

You can use sky or call out a local person. If it is a lot higher sky use a special team with height training and they cost more. I never use sky now, been with them nearly twenty years and our sky dish is too high for them.0

I am surprised at this, you can't just "move" a sky dish, it has to be aligned with the satellite.
If it was mounted higher up, did they put a new cable in? Just that with most satellite installations we do we do not leave spare cable.
You should be able to get a local company out to do it. It may need to be moved again, could be something as simple as the signal is being blocked by trees, you need a good "line of sight" to the satellite.
Just one thing, when ringing the local companies please mention that you have Sky Q.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
