Right to Buy Extended

Housing assoc. tenants 24yrs in a block of 10 flats.... missed out on the opportunity to buy in the 90's due to incompetence by former staff.... 5 flats are privately owned ......landlord informed some years ago can't sell anymore and they're retaining 50% stock (5 flats).

An extended right to buy pilot is running in midlands this year.... Govt. guidance for social landlords is currently;
Housing associations will operate the scheme and work with eligible tenants
who want to purchase their home. In circumstances where housing associations
exercise discretion not to sell the tenant their existing home, they will work with
them to port their discount to an alternative property within the housing association
sector.
Has anyone in the midlands been involved in this scheme and used a portable discount ?
