Cheap(er) Car Insurance for driver with claims

Hi guys,
So it’s that dreaded renewal time for car insurance. The cheapest quote I have got is £2350 with a £3000 compulsory excess. I have checked most of the comparison sites as well as Direct Line and Tesco. I was wondering if anyone knows of any insurers who would potentially be cheaper for a driver with claims? Details below:
- 27 years old
- 2 fault claims in the last 2 years (extremely unfortunate to be deemed at fault for the first one but we’ll leave that story for another day)
- 0 no claims bonus
Thank you in advance

Personally I wouldn't touch the policy with excess direct (the one with the £3k excess). Please note it also applies to third party claims, not just own damage claims like the rest of the market.
All you can do is what you are doing, shopping round and hunting for the best price.
Try a local broker (not Swinton) who may help more with their market knowledge.0 -
Funny you say that, as my last policy was with XS Direct and I ended up having a fault claim. Luckily I took out an Excess Protection policy for an additional £30 (approx) with the broker. Managed to get £2500 of the refunded although it did take a couple of months!0

When i do quotes with a high excess it actually starts to increase the premium.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

So after shopping around, all comparison sites and a few independent sites, I haven!!!8217;t managed to get any policies cheaper than £2350 with a £3000 compulsory excess. The only other cheap quotation I got was £2100 but that did not have personal injury cover included.
Unfortunately, it looks like I will have to just pay up the £2350 and try to obtain some sort of excess protection policy which will probably add another couple of hundred quid to that figure!0 -
Most motor policies that offer PI cover only have a small limit on claims
How much cover are you getting with your chosen policy?0
