I really feel for you OP.....please take the very good advice being given to you. This man is clearly a serial abuser, and most likely because his mother totally enables him to behave like this. If my son had behaved towards his girlfriend like this, I certainly would not be helping him, I would be mortified. Don't let them intimidate you - take back control.
