Im purchasing my first home thanks to inheritance. The solicitors have sent me a declaration of non returnable gift form. Does the mo ey coming via inheritance count as a gift?

Not a "gift" (and obviously you can't really ask the donor to sign anything additional now!) but the solicitors will still want to check where it came from - ask them what they need.0

It's to avoid the problems of someone buying with a large-ish "deposit" which turns out to be loans from grannie/dad whoever...
Give them such info as makes them happy.0 -
Thanks that's sorted it. Im giving them the email of the solicitor who is dealing with it all and they can discuss what they need.0
