Credit card to rebuild credit score

Is it ok to take out a credit card (with low balance) and pay it off every month to rebuild my credit score, when I already have another credit card with a balance of £1800?

    Yes although forget the score and concentrate on what information is on your credit files

    Why not pay off the balance of the card you have.
