in Credit cards
Hi guys/gals.
I am looking to pay off my Holiday using a Credit Card then do a BT to the RBS 0% for 13 months offer (Which I have just received in the post!).
That would be great if the Holiday company didn't want to charge me 2.5% Surcharge for using a CC!
Now, here is how I think it can work:
Use RBS card to do a BT from Egg Money, giving me a positive balance on the Egg card and the required 0% amount on the RBS card? Then all I need to do is transfer the money from the Egg card to my Current Account and then pay for the Holiday using me Debit Card.
Am I correct? Only thing I can see going wrong here is not actually getting the Egg Money card!
Any comments welcome!

That would work. Remember though that if you pay for a holiday by CC you get travel accident insurance and protection if the holiday company goes bust. You don't get that if you pay by debit card.0

Hi Dave. In principle, that would work but the standard RBS 0% for 13 months offer has a 2.5% Balance Transfer fee so you wouldn't gain anything by doing it that route.

You would probably be better of buying the holiday on the Halifax 15 months 0% purchases card:

Gah, so many options!
Clariman, yep I expected that 2.5% charge, its the 2.5% AGAIN on top that would push me over.
If I go ahead the 2.5 RBS charge would be £27.
Well, the Egg Money card is on its way now, better than nothing I guess!
