Lost case against PCM

Think this is my first time posting here, however I have come to forum as a source of information, templates etc.
Long story, short version- parked up at an Argos collection point , nobody answered door so had to go to shop and ask them to open door. In the 3 or 4 minutes I was gone, some xxxx must have leapt into action, snapped my car and next thing I know I have a fine from Parking control management. I didnt admit to driving car at time, sent signage photos and letter from Argos manager in with initial defence etc. they completely ignored it.
I then appealed via Popla- waste of time doing that (I actually dont see what puprose they serve.) Then we exchanged a couple of letters, got nowhere with them at all, fine got bigger due to no payment. Had letter before court around 5 weeks ago, and just had court judgement for claimant through this week , total fine now 273.98, payable to Gladstones solicitors.
Reason for this post is this- unless you are prepared to invest a significant amount of time in defending your corner, you really need to ask yourself the question if it is worth trying to communicate with people that simply will not listen.
From my personal experience PCM/Gladstones seem to now have a "winning" formula , and , given the time i have wasted and the fine now payable, I would have paid up early as I clearly did not adhere to every single procedure necessary to get a PPN overturned.
Anyway, thats my own experience, hopefully most other people have a better result.

This is the second of your posts
You posted back in January and even though you revived someone else's two year old thread you were given advice.
To come back after all this time when it's too late seems pointless. Spilt milk!!
Have a look at all the popla successes reported here and the court hearings won to see how forum advised people do much better!!0 -
So basically if I have read this right you ignored advice, made one hi-jack post (this is your second) on an old thread, ignored the court claim and now whinge stating you wish you had paid the scammers earlier, and still call it a fine, unbelievable!0
-
The magic "winning formula" you came up against is simply that all the advice contained on this site was ignored.
The MSE formula tends to win against them. Sadly we can't do much for those who won't listen. I suspect you will now go whinging how useless this site was.0 -
You lost because you didn't defend when a claim arrived. Your losing formula. Your error.
Luckily, we do have the winning formula for others on this forum, and still win 99% of DEFENDED court claims; only two out of hundreds here were lost last year. ONLY TWO!
No PPC has a winning formula. Please don't mislead people, of course you lose if you don't defend!I then appealed via Popla
PCM have not been in the BPA or offered POPLA for years.
And your other earlier post in January, you reckoned you had ''overstayed at Peel centre''.
PCM are not at the Peel Centre and never have been.
I'd get your story straight, if your intention is to scaremonger about PPCs, at least stay consistent.
Hopefully NEWBIES will see the issues with your postings and ignore this.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, you didn't. That makes me question the truth of - and agenda behind - your entire post.

Indeed. It's Excel at the Peel Centre who also don't offer POPLA. The whole sorry saga makes no sense at all.
If you don't even know who's suing you or where you were parked then they don't really need any magic formula. Your own stupidity will suffice.0 -
Or the entire story could be scaremongering 'pour encourager les autres'.
Nuff said, the thread needs to die either way!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What a surprise!! Another charm offensive from a pack of sanctominious individuals on MSE Parking forum. You just bully anyone who doesnt fawn to your sheer brilliance, it comes across on pretty much every thread which doesn't fit your M.O
Just to put you all straight here, I never once said I was parked at the Peel Centre in my OP, you super sleuths jumped to that conclusion based on your extraordinary investigative research.
Great work there ! :T You should give advice to people who are trying to get PCNs overturned, just as long as they win though, right?
Thanks for making me chuckle today0 -
Just to put you all straight here, I never once said I was parked at the Peel Centre in my OP...hi 5Pence, I appreciate this was some time back now, but what was the outcome with ECP as I am in same position having overstayed at Peel centre?0

@KeithP
Thanks for making me chuckle today.
Norm2008 appears to have memory lapses - which might explain the default CCJ when he (appears) to have failed to put in a defence.
Where he is correct is that some people are just ripe for picking which is why the PPC's do it. If you "forget" or stick you head in the sand, you get all you deserve. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
